Henderson County is, after all, the largest producer of apples in all of North Carolina and one of the top counties in the entire United States. Today, there are more than 20 apple orchards around Hendersonville not counting the private orchards that residents may plant on their own property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter whether you live in Hendersonville or just visiting, a trip to one of the many orchards around is always a delight. From picking apples, to the warm apple cinnamon donuts, to firing off the apple cannons, kids and adults alike love time spent at the local orchards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With so many orchards to choose from and different types of apples ripening at different times, we compiled a list for the 2024 season you can refer back to. Most apple orchards near Hendersonville open by September, but the months vary by orchard.
