It’s no secret that folks around Hendersonville know a little something when it comes to apple growing. Henderson County is, after all, the largest producer of apples in all of North Carolina and one of the top counties in the entire United States. Today, there are more than 20 apple orchards around Hendersonville not counting the private orchards that residents may plant on their own property.
It doesn’t matter whether you live in Hendersonville or just visiting, a trip to one of the many orchards around is always a delight. From picking apples, to the warm apple cinnamon donuts, to firing off the apple cannons, kids and adults alike love time spent at the local orchards.
